Tiamat´s tear is one of the poems I love te most.
Tiamat is a deity in ancient Mesopotamian mythology. She is typically depicted as a chaos monster and is considered the personification of the primordial sea. In the Babylonian creation story, Tiamat is the mother of all the gods and the embodiment of the primordial chaos that existed before the creation of the world.
Tiamat (Akkadian: 𒀭𒋾𒊩𒆳 DTI.AMAT or 𒀭𒌓𒌈 DTAM.TUM, Ancient Greek: Θαλάττη, romanized: Thaláttē) is a primordial goddess of the sea, mating with Abzû, the god of the groundwater, to produce younger gods. She is referred to as a woman and described as “the glistening one”.It is suggested that there are two parts to the Tiamat mythos. In the first, she is a creator goddess, through a sacred marriage between different waters, peacefully creating the cosmos through successive generations. In the second Chaoskampf Tiamat is considered the monstrous embodiment of primordial chaos. Some sources identify her with images of a sea serpent or dragon.
You throw into yourself as in a sea - Without life saver jacket, without knowing to swim, I mean you are not afraid of waves, nor of water that’s too deep Or thoughts that deadly rocks you might have chance to hit! Nothing is frightening you, nor icy waters from such a waiting period, nothing bothers. Not even a mermaid song from deep It’s just a single thought that doesn’t let you sleep. No matter what you’ll do It's just one thing that is consuming you, In all the time and the space when you will say goodbye Are you just a tear drop lost in Tiamat’s eye Tiamat´s tear
